Steven Anderson preaches that interest is always sinful, a belief he gained due to rejecting a dispensational understanding of scripture. Because of this, he applies the Old Testament laws upon Christians today, and says things like this:
By the way, charging interest is a sin. I don’t care what the bank told you. According to the bible, it is sinful to charge usury, and usury means any interest. In Nehemiah five, the interest rate was 1%, and he said you need to stop.

Below is his sermon, “the sin of usury”, which teaches the same philosophy. By this justification, one certainly should not be employed at a bank or credit union, one should not use credit cards, etc.
