With three pastors recently leaving or being pushed out the New IFB in the last month, including Michael Johnson of Temple Baptist Church, one person who has been mostly silent is Johnson himself. However, through some comments on his YouTube page, we can see what he is really thinking.
First, he states in the comment below that Steven Anderson is a railer:
The below comment on one of Johnson’s videos was “loved” by Johnson as you can see, and in it the New IFB is said to be “caught up in cultish behaviors.”
Johnson also “loved” the comment below which criticizes Anderson for not being open to correction.
This is significant because it mirrors cases in the past, where pastors get removed from the New IFB, and then admit the cultlike behavior of the movement.
