We reported back in July about the new church plant in Valparaiso, Indiana, called “Preserved Word Baptist Church” and Pastored by Eric Ford. The first service there was held on June 10, 2018. Now it is August 20, and it seems that the church is not off the ground. The church website has remained the same, the Facebook page hasn’t been updated in a month, and the church’s YouTube channel has only three sermon videos.
Eric Ford had pastored Hillcrest Baptist Church in Rochester, IN. before starting this new church, and it seems that both churches are now defunct. The New IFB directory previously had a listing for Hillcrest, but in the latest update, not only is that listing missing, but there’s not been a listing added for preserved word Baptist either – Ford’s name is missing entirely.
